2. Pregnancy and Chiropractic

Did you know that 50% of all pregnant women experience back pain at some point? During pregnancy, there is an increase in hormones which creates pelvic hypermobility. The increased flexibility in the pelvis translates to added pressure in the back & spinal cord, and therefore decreases spinal stability. Women who were under chiropractic care during pregnancy reported decreased pain, decreased incidence of "back labor", and saw decreases in labor times!

Chiropractic care is great for expecting moms, but can also benefit the baby by providing more room to grow and move. Webster Technique, a specific chiropractic technique, has been proven to correct intrauterine constraint & allow more room for the baby. So much more room that 92% of breech position babies were reported to turn on their own when mom was under Webster Technique!! Chiropractic adjustments for expecting moms are very gentle, and proven extremely effective for both mom and the baby!
